Classic mini tapping noise. Mar 7, 2024 · When I first start my R56 mini cooper s it has a bit of a ticking or tapping noise until it warms up to about 60-70 degrees. it started a couple of weeks ago and i finally got round to having a look a few days ago. A new clutch, new thrust bearing and new thrust washers were fitted and the lightweight flywheel wasnt changed as it looked in good condition.
